There is no fixed formula for prayer. It has to be spontaneous, sincere, and affectionate. It is an over pouring of human spirit to God

If God be near a church, it must pray. And if he be not there, one of the first tokens of his absence will be a slothfulness in prayer.

The joy which answers to prayer give, cannot be described; and the impetus which they afford to the spiritual life is exceedingly great.
