I have a problem with receiving help in any form. I have lived a life where more often than not if something was given to me, it came at a price. An emotional price, a spiritual price, a physical price. So much so that outreaching hands seem suspicious and fearful. Especially from men. I worry that God is placing blessings along my journey in the form of outreaching hands, but my fear of being manipulated in the process keeps me from grasping them.
