The bible says not to envy the wicked for a reason (proverbs 24:19). Romans 1:28 did an excellent job of addressing that reason. It will seem like everything is going perfect for some people who don’t care about the Lord. It will seem like all of their prayers are being answered quicker than yours but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Unfortunately, those individuals have been completely cut off by the Lord. God doesn’t listen to or even acknowledge the prayers of the wicked (Proverbs 15:29). Their prayers don’t even pass the ceiling. What’s happening is… since they refuse to change the evil ways and are too cool for God, He has basically said, “that’s it”. He has given them over to their own wickedness. He knows they won”t change and they are hellbound. Then satan comes right into them. He is the only one giving them those “blessings” they think are from the Lord. He is making all or their desires be fulfilled. To a point where they become so wrapped up in themselves that they refuse to humble themselves even more and harden their hearts. Now satan has officially captured them and they don’t even know it. He has blinded them so they won’t even believe this. They were predestined to go to hell from the start because God already knows who will change and who won’t. Still, being as merciful as He is, God allows them to wake up everyday in hopes that they open their eyes. It’s so easy to repent but they refuse. The scripture doesn’t lie. Don’t allow this world to deceive you and don’t deceive yourself. The wicked are already hellbound. God’s trying to help and grab the attentio of those who truly seek Him. If you do, the victory is already yours. Christ delays His coming to give us time.
